We are recruiting two teachers:
- Junior School Teacher: to run the Clubhouse. Full-time position for an experienced junior teacher.
- Science Teacher: to teach Science to junior age children and develop senior Science up to 16 as the school grows.
These are two key positions in the school. The Clubhouse teacher will become the team leader for the lower school and the Science teacher will become the team leader for the upper school. Both will work together to implement a reduced formal curriculum that will enable children to experience the maximum freedom of choice. They will have to work together and form their respective teams as the school grows so that the approach to study and learning is consistent throughout.
We do not want teachers who are tied to syllabus materials and motivated by results, however good they may be.
All applicants must study the webpage. Look carefully at the Mission Statement. This is a democratic free school and you have to be prepared to work according to the specific philosophy of our school. We advise you to look carefully at the gallery of pictures before you make an application.
On this page you will find the job specification and a person specification: that is what we expect our teachers to do and the kind of person we are looking for. Read them carefully, read the webpage and then ask for an application pack.
